Working for bozos

Posted 3 years, 1 month ago on February 28, 2006 by yerma  Just Stuff

There is a great article over at Guy Kawasaki's blog about how to realise when a company is going to the dogs. Thankfully, I have yet to experience this as the company I work for are excellent and growing very well but it is interesting to read the stories of others who have been in that position. The biggest things I would see as most important from the article are:

  • hiring people, not a CV. I was lucky enough to be hired without a formal qualification and I feel others should be given the same chance.
  • Dealing with issues straight away - if someone isn't working out. Let them know, give them a chance to sort it out, then get rid of them.
  • Reward your staff and they will reward you
  • Trust your staff and they will trust you
