More work on the sun boxPosted 4 days, 14 hours ago on March 30, 2006 by yerma Sun Server testing So have been trying to get some stuff installed on the new Sun box and it really does come without any of the tools that most Linux distros have(I know it's not a Linux distro but some help would be good!!!)
The only problem is when you try to run ./configure you get this message: configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH which is slightly annoying. Off to bed now, so far the computing power etc is very, very impressive but it would be quicker/easier to get a debian disk and install it over the top...... Update - just discovered about pkgadd etc, things are looking up :) downloaded gcc atm and then others all to follow.
