Installing software on solaris

They don't exactly make it easy for you!!! No wonder Unix admins are so highly paid. After working out about the pkgadd etc I d'loaded gcc and got it installed successfully but then found out my PATH was all screwed up :( It took me ages to work out how to change them all but soon found the /etc/default/su file and the supath variable inside that(for some reason the . This page helped with gcc install - don't forget to follow the instructions about the mkheaders.conf though.
Now trying pkg-get cause this is doing my head in!!! haven't even got apache working yet!!!!!

	Ah, you whippersnapper. I remember the day when pkgadd was added....sound of bones creaking. You're so lucky with Solaris. In my day we had SunOS...
